The result of the round robin play was that the Raiders finished first earning the right to play in the Championship Gold medal game. Whitby had a terrific tourney ending in second place. The Raiders and Wildcats had become very familiar with each other playing four games against each other in the previous couple of weeks. In the Championship game the Raiders were working on all cylinders moving out to a lead after the second period. Then there were some tense moments in the third period when Whitby scored two quick goals but the Raiders held on for a five to three victory.
